Lunpid LongWave: Native Wi-Fi HaLow Adapter for Linux Development
Develop new products that break the 2.4 GHz barrier. The Lunpid LongWave DevKit is an ultra-compact USB wireless LAN adapter powered by the Morse Micro MM8108 IC, bringing true long-range, sub-1 GHz Wi-Fi connectivity directly to your Linux machine.
Harnessing Wi-Fi HaLow (802.11ah) performance, the LongWave provides kilometer-scale line-of-sight range and exceptional signal penetration through walls and foliage by utilizing the 915 MHz (US) and 868 MHz (EU) frequency bands.
At less than 50 mm × 40 mm and running comfortably off standard USB 2.0 power (500 mA), it is perfectly sized for embedding in custom builds and robotics, or pairing with low-power SBCs like the Raspberry Pi.
The Bare-Metal Advantage
Unlike other 802.11ah products that bury the radio behind a low-power CPU running a closed OpenWrt environment, the Lunpid LongWave gives you raw, unfiltered access to the WLAN interface, granting you complete software control to develop your product.
Using the Morse Micro Linux drivers, it mounts natively as a standard wlan adapter. This means you can host access points, connect to remote networks, and seamlessly deploy standard Linux wireless meshing tools like B.A.T.M.A.N. without fighting a middleman OS.
The LongWave's flexibility is ideal for building long-range IoT backhauls, remote sensor networks or custom mesh topologies.
